Die Trauben werden sorgfältig von Hand ausgewählt und die Reifung erfolgt zunächst 44 Monate in großen Fässern aus slowenischer Eiche und anschließend weitere 4 Monate in der Flasche. Die intensive rubinrote Farbe geht Aromen von reifen roten Früchten, würzigen Noten und Anklängen von Vanille voraus. Der Geschmack ist warm, bedeutend, weinartig, mit sanften Tanninen und einem sehr langen Abgang.

It is a true excellence, the result of a careful selection of high-quality grapes and a long aging in wood, which allows the wine to reach a maturity and an expressive harmony of extraordinary charm. It pairs excellently with a Chianina steak, a Florentine steak, or roasted game.
The red Brunello di Montalcino “Poggio Cerrino” is born in a small winery, located a few steps from the historic village of Montalcino, managing a property of about 10 hectares, divided into three farms: Vigna Soccorso, Cigaleta, and Cerrino. Tiezzi has always produced wines of excellent quality, with a craftsmanship passion and a great love for the territory. The Sangiovese grapes come from the vineyards from the Podere Cerrino, which are about 35 years old and are cultivated with high planting density and low yields per hectare. The harvest is done manually, with selection in the vineyard of the ripest and healthiest bunches. Fermentation takes place in wooden vats, with a maceration on the skins of about three weeks. The wine ages for over 40 months in large Slavonian oak barrels and completes the aging with about 6 months in bottle.

It is a pure Sangiovese of remarkable substance, made with great care. In the glass, it presents a garnet red color with bright ruby reflections. On the nose, it expresses an elegant and intense bouquet, with floral aromas of violet, notes of marasca, red currant, ripe cherry, hints of aromatic herbs, underbrush, leather, vanilla, and soft oriental spices.tertiary.
