Catarratto 'Guanciabianca' Ferracane 2024

The "Guanciabianca" Catarratto is a white wine that tantalizes the palate of enthusiasts thanks to an authentic, gentle, and elegant profile. There is no doubt that the processing, carried out solely in steel both during vinification and in the final maturation phase, helps to enhance the aromatic characteristics of this indigenous Sicilian grape, always balanced and marked by the right fullness during the drinking experience. A versatile label, excellent both for aperitifs and to accompany the entire meal.

The "Guanciabianca" Ferracane is a pure Catarratto that comes from the vineyards of the Bellusa district, in Salemi. We are about 160 meters above sea level, in parcels exposed to the east and west characterized by a medium-textured soil, tending towards limestone. Among the rows, the work is carried out with care for the environment and for the nature surrounding the vineyards. The selected grapes from the destemming operations are gently pressed, and the obtained must ferments spontaneously in steel thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts.The final aging, lasting a total of 5 months, takes place in steel on the lees. Once maturation is complete, the "Guanciabianca" is ready to be bottled and released on the market.

The Catarratto "Guanciabianca" Ferracane presents itself visually with a concentrated color, reminiscent of straw hues. The nose is centered on primarily floral and fruity notes, enriched during the evolution of the bouquet by hints of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is light-bodied, easy to drink, and flavorful thanks to a salty and fruity vein that satisfies the palate; it finishes with a good persistence. A straightforward and sincere wine, confident and reliable, that does not shy away from presenting itself with a profile of personality.
