Dolcetto d'Alba Giacomo Fenocchio 2024
The Dolcetto D’Alba made by Giacomo Fenocchio presents itself as a young Piedmontese red wine, with a dynamic and enterprising spirit. It is a type that in Piemonte is among the most produced, embodying the concept of everyday drinking at a regional level, as Dolcetto is a wine particularly suited for the table. A label where fruity aromas alternate with more spicy notes, giving rise to an inviting olfactory profile; if we add that the sip is pleasantly refreshing, then the value of this bottle is immediately understood.
The Dolcetto d’Alba is born from the grapes of one of the most cultivated varieties at the regional level, the Dolcetto. The vines of this variety grow within a hilly terroir, located about 300 meters above sea level, included in the Bussia subzone of the municipality of Monforte d’Alba. The grapes, once harvested and brought to the winemaking facilities of the Giacomo Fenocchio winery, ferment thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts in steel, macerating for a period of about 10 days. We proceed therefore with the aging, also carried out in steel for six months, at the end of which the wine is ready to be bottled and marketed.
This Dolcetto d’Alba wine reveals itself to the eye with a ruby color, characterized by reflections that lean towards violet. Refreshing are the aromas that envelop the nose, where more fruity notes alternate with sensations that invade the world of spices. On the palate it is light-bodied, harmonious, with a sip characterized by a dry and crisp taste, marked by a pleasant fresh vein. A bottle with which the Giacomo Fenocchio winery presents a very versatile wine from a gastronomic point of view, among the most widespread and appreciated in the entire Piedmontese territory.
