The Fiano di Avellino from Vadiaperti-Traerte is a Campanian wine originating precisely from the Collina di Montefredane, which became famous thanks to viticultural production. The winery began its activity around 1980; the name comes from "erta", which in the local dialect means "steep and rugged road" and the meaning refers to a place situated between mountain roads: this is the heart of Irpinia, steep and harsh, but with generous and lush traits. Antonio Troisi and his son Raffaele decided to acquire this reality, merging it with their already established winery Vadiaperti, giving rise to a new original reality and coherent; the enhancement of the territory and its products is the goal that guides the work in the vineyard and in the winery.

The vineyards of the Fiano di Avellino from Vadiaperti-Traerte are located in the area of Vadiaperti and the plants are between 20 and 30 years old. The soil is completely composed of clay for a final product of character and structure; the altitude is around 400 meters above sea level and the exposure is to the south, an ideal condition for fully ripe clusters at the time of harvest. The climate is predominantly Mediterranean with warm summers, but not sultry, and mild winters, not subject to sudden frosts. The grape harvest is done manually; in the winery, soft pressing and alcoholic fermentation in steel with indigenous yeasts take place. It ages from 2 to 12 months in the bottle.
