Villa Raiano is a winery that produces its Greco di Tufo in Raiano Serino, in the province of Avellino. A renowned Campanian reality that presents a structure perfectly integrated into the surrounding environment, with a wonderful terrace overlooking the valley carved by the river Sabato, populated by vineyards and woods that compose a bucolic landscape for dreamers. The scent of wild moss intertwines with the sinuous hills and mountains of Irpinia, a southern land that shows an unusual face of Southern Italy, more austere. Its labels were originally produced in the old workshops that the family traditionally used for oil processing. The main project is to try to use the vines in a way that yields completely different results from each other, because the diversities are the strength of these places and focusing on the different inclinations of the terroir is fundamental for these territories.

The Greco di Tufo of Villa Raiano grows on the banks of the river Sabato, which is the common denominator for all white grape varieties in the area. Its bunch, small and compact, is grown in the seven hectares located between Altavilla and Montefusco, and the vines sink their roots into excellent soil, at 500 meters above sea level, of clayey matrix, rich in volcanic ash, particularly fertile for the cultivation of this grape variety. The harvest takes place in the first week of September and is carried out exclusively by hand. Once transported to the winery, the whole bunch undergoes a soft pressing and a subsequent static decantation, followed by fermentation at controlled temperature and aging, both carried out in stainless steel tanks for a short period, so as not to compromise the primary aromas of the varietal.

The characteristics of Greco di Tufo are well reflected in the label of Villa Raiano, starting from its bright straw-yellow color. Initially, the notes of orange blossom and elderflower emerge, followed by the freshness of anise, mapo, and loquats that accompany a more almond-like finish, enriched by hints of quince. The sip is intense and highlights a powerful
