The Moscato di Limnos by Chatzigeorgiou, a small family-run winery on the island, is a sweet wine that is deeply aromatic, full-bodied, and enveloping, ideal for pairing with desserts or a platter of blue cheeses. On the nose, it releases intensely fragrant notes of mango, pineapple, and yellow peach, refreshed by citrus hints of bergamot and orange blossom. On the palate, it offers a full, sweet, enveloping sip, but refreshed at the finish by a pleasant acidity.

The Moscato di Limnos Chatzigeorgiou is a great wine from the Greek tradition. It originates in the northern part of the Aegean Sea, on an island that has been famous for wine production for millennia. It is produced with the ancient white grape variety Moscato d'Alessandria, a grape widespread throughout the Mediterranean basin and appreciated for its aromatic intensity and for its rich and seductive floral and fruity aromas. A timeless wine, an eternal reminder of the past and of generations of winemakers who have passed down the art of producing a precious nectar. A bottle of great charm that every enthusiast should taste.

Moscato di Limnos Chatzigeorgiou is born in a small estate located in Karpasi, in the central area of the island of Limnos. The property extends over 7 hectares in a hilly area at an altitude of 150-200 meters above sea level, characterized by soils of ancient volcanic nature, very rich in minerals. The vines were planted in 1998 and are exposed to the southeast. The climate is typically Mediterranean, with hot and dry summers, but refreshed by the Meltemi, which blows from the north, often with a lot of violence. The harvest is done manually and the best selected bunches in the vineyard are dried in the sun to concentrate aromas and sugars. After pressing, the must ferments in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature and the wine matures for several months in steel before being bottled.

Moscato di Limnos Chatzigeorgiou represents a fundamental chapter in the history of world enology. An essential label that is still able today to convey the same emotions that have made it famous for centuries. The wine captivates the eye with a beautiful intense yellow color with slight golden reflections. The bouquet is rich and elegant with aromas of white flowers, notes of candied citrus peel, peach aromas, yellow-fleshed fruit, hints of tropical fruits and medicinal herbs. Seductive and harmonious, it unfolds on the palate with a rich and complex aromatic palette, blending fruity sweetness and freshness, anticipating a smooth and very persistent finish.
