The “Raspato” by Annesanti is a delicious and convivial refermented rosé, a happy union between Sangiovese and Aleatico. It is becoming less and less common to search for everyday labels with an excellent quality-price ratio, often focusing on more expensive and (apparently) more prestigious wines, therefore when one comes across original and satisfying bottles under 15 euros, one cannot help but stock up. The 'Raspato' undoubtedly belongs to this category, refermented bottled by Francesco Annesanti, an Umbrian winemaker who, having inherited the family legacy, decided to manage his 5 hectares of vineyard in the province of Terni in as respectful and non-intrusive a manner as possible. The local traditional grape varieties are thus interpreted authentically and uncompromisingly, giving rise to sincere yet focused wines that reach remarkable levels of complexity, especially in the flagship wines vinified in amphora.

The Raspato wine is a refermented rosé produced from Sangiovese and Aleatico. An authentic wine capable of reflecting the territory, like all of Francesco's wines, it is obtained from vineyards cultivated without the use of chemical or synthetic substances, relying only on a bit of copper, sulfur, and natural preparations. In the cellar, spontaneous alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel tanks, followed by refermentation in the bottle according to the ancestral method.

The Raspato by Annesanti presents itself in the glass with a pale and clear pink hue. The olfactory impact is beautiful, fragrant and winey, made of red fruits, vegetal hints, and wild herbs, fused into a straightforward and bucolic profile. The sip is fresh, juicy, and truly disarming in its drinkability, so much so that the bottle empties without warning. Freshness, sapidity, rhythm: a joyful bottle, of which we recommend ample stock!
