Der Schioppettino von Dario Coos ist ein gewürzter friulanischer Rotwein mit geschmeidigem Trinkfluss, der etwa 10 Monate in Eichenfässern gereift ist. Er präsentiert sich im Glas mit einer leichten und leuchtenden rubinroten Farbe und zeigt in der Nase intensive Noten von reifen Pflaumen, Kirschen und gemischten Gewürzen, wobei schwarzer Pfeffer über allem steht und mit einem Hauch von Lakritz abschließt. Am Gaumen ist er frisch und elegant, mit einer zarten krautigen Persistenz.

The Schioppettino by Dario Coos is a wine that has a spicy soul, typical of the original varietal. Personality and character abound in this bottle, lively and dynamic in offering a range of notes on the nose in perpetual evolution, a true pleasure for those who want to engage in the search for the most hidden nuances. A label that, among its many virtues, also has the quality of presenting itself with good longevity, promising to "hold" effortlessly for another four or five years of rest in glass.

The Schioppettino Coos originates from the plots included within the IGT Venezia Giulia. The winery's approach in the vineyard is oriented towards sustainability. The grapes are hand-picked during the first days of October and are immediately transferred to the facilities designated for winemaking. Here, the destemming operations are carried out, and the obtained berries are gently pressed. This is followed by a cold prefermentative maceration, useful for acquiring the characteristic spicy bouquet; the fermentation of the must takes place in stainless steel tanks for 5-6 days, with periodic pump-overs.in stainless steel for 5-6 days, with periodic pump-overs. The production process ends with maturation in steel, after which the wine is ready for bottling.

The red wine Schioppettino produced by the Dario Coos winery presents itself with a ruby red color, not too intense, with good transparency. The nose is rich and layered, where touches of well-ripened small fruits alternate with spicy notes, while the finish also reveals a hint of balsamic. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with a refreshing and refined sip, from which an herbaceous and mineral flavor emerges. It ends with a finish of excellent persistence. A red that pairs well with earthy menus: try it with a typical Friulian riso e fasoi!
