Ventitréfilari
In the landscape of small emerging wineries in Campania, Ventitréfilari should be mentioned, a tiny family-run reality that operates in the name of sustainability and craftsmanship. The estate is located in the Avellino municipality of Montefredane, included within the production area of Fiano di Avellino, one of the most refined wines in all of Italy. Here, in 2014, the young brothers Rossella and Alfonso De Benedetto, along with cousins Gianluca and Fabio, recovered a small vineyard inherited from their grandfather composed of 23 rows of vines, from which the name of the winery derives, beginning to dedicate themselves to a limited production of Fiano di Avellino.
The family-run estate Ventitréfilari has less than 2 hectares of vineyards, benefiting from the clay-limestone matrix of the soils, the altitude of around 500 meters above sea level, and the significant temperature excursions between day and night that characterize the Montefredane area. Based on these pedoclimatic parameters, adopting a highly sustainable approach, the estate exclusively cultivates Fiano, the principal variety of the territory. This grape variety of Greek origin was called The flagship of the Ventitréfilari winery's selection is the Fiano di Avellino Riserva ‘Numero Primo’, a fresh, elegant, and creamy interpretation of the denomination, produced in very limited quantities. This is the first label created by the estate, an authentic reflection of the style and enological philosophy of Ventitréfilari.
