Blanc 'Belleruche' Michel Chapoutier 2024
The French white "Belleruche" Blanc is born from the vineyards owned by the Michel Chapoutier winery located within the Cotes du Rhone denomination. It is a label that originates from a blend of different indigenous grape varieties, which, thanks to biodynamic vineyard management, are free to express themselves generously, through a recognizable style made of varied aromas and round and refreshing sips that satisfy the palate.
This "Belleruche" Blanc is the result of a skillful blend made by the Michel Chapoutier winery among different grape varieties, including Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Viognier, Clairette, and Bourboulenc. The vines of these varieties grow in a clayey and calcareous terroir, and among the rows, biodynamic farming practices are followed. Before vinification, a light skin maceration is carried out, and after the gentle pressing of the grapes, the must ferments in stainless steel containers at low temperature. The aging phase then takes place in steel, lasting 5 months, at the end of which the bottling and marketing phase takes place.
The "Belleruche" Blanc is a wine that presents itself visually with a bright and luminous golden yellow color. The array of aromas that spreads to the nose highlights a typically floral note, enriched by more fruity touches and hints of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is full-bodied, equipped with a refreshing sip that encourages repeated drinking; it finishes with a lingering aftertaste reminiscent of anise flavor. A white wine signed by Michel Chapoutier that is well suited for both aperitif time and throughout the meal, pairing well with appetizers and first courses of fish.
