The Frappato Di Cos is an emblematic wine, a whispered union of finesse and floral inlays. When the term pioneer or precursor is used, it is often done so carelessly and lightly, especially regarding the history of Italian winemaking. When talking about Cos, however, we speak of Titta Cilia and Giusto Occhipinti, two significant figures for the concept of artisanal wine pursued in unsuspecting times and capable of enhancing a magical and unspoiled territory like that of southeastern Sicily. Since 1980, the year the winery was founded, despite logical temporal changes and the expansion of the vineyard area, the intent of Giusto and Titta has remained the same, which is to bottle liquids with a strong territorial bond, produced without sophistication or artifice. Grape, land, and skilled hands form an indissoluble triangle, capable of delivering bottles that, without exaggeration, have made and continue to make the history of Italian wine. Icons.

The Frappato di Cos is produced with pure grapes of the homonymous indigenous variety, cultivated near Vittoria following the principles of organic farming along with some biodynamic practices. If in the vineyard chemical or synthetic substances are banned, in the winery, spontaneous alcoholic fermentation takes place in concrete and aging in vitrified concrete tanks. Addition of a homeopathic dose of sulfur before bottling.

The Frappato di Cos presents itself in the glass with a splendid transparent ruby hue and light body. It is one of those rare cases where the gentleness of the color coincides with the profile of the wine, feminine and extremely refined both in aroma and taste. The nose is literally a bouquet of flowers, fragrant and refreshing. The taste is all in suppleness, showing neither muscles nor edges, but knows how to be pleasurable due to its sensual texture. A fragrance from a perfumery.
